Exchange of Information within the Health Care Sector
When the district nurses of the Aalborg municipality order medicine for a citizen, it happens via a mobile phone and a laptop computer. NOKS – the Cultural Hitoric Search Database of North Denmark
Who was Jens Bang? When was his day? How was the stream of Østeraa led through Aalborg?? www.noks.dk is a new offer with various archives, museums and libraries in North Jutland teaming up to establish a common search database filled with photos, articles, audios and film etc. to be explored by everyone with an Internet access. A Speaking Internet Portal
So far the Internet has been closed country to the dyslectic and those coping with difficulties in reading and writing. But now they can download an icon resembling a remote control on www.adgangforalle.dk. Pedagogical Application of IT Technology at Grammar-School Level
Projects not only spanning across classes but also grammar-schools and upper secondary schools. Teachers sharing experience in Internet meetings in the virtual faculty room. An increased educational use of the Internet – both in language and math classes but also in cross-disciplinary tasks – is made reality in the large common project for the schools at an upper secondary and grammar school level in North Denmark…		 Watch the video:

The Digital Hospital
On the hospital of Frederikshavn-Skagen a lot of headway has been made on a large-scale project, containing an electronic case record, electronic booking in the X-ray department, computer access for patients confined to their beds and more. The object is to give patients a better service and more information, without involving any expenses funded by taxpayers…		 Watch the video:

The Mobile Employee
Using a GPRS mobile phone – and a tiny barcode reader in the base of the mobile phone – the plumbers are able to fill out timesheets, order items back in the storage and list the components used at the customer’s – without the use of a ball pen. The Digital Democracy
To the citizens of the municipality of Hals local democracy has become part of everyday life. Citizens can chat with politicians, citizens of Ulsted have got their own portal – and the church council has opened an IT-Café in the schoolroom for confirmation candidates. And the 9th graders learn about democracy at the town hall and are playing democracy practising games on the Internet…		 Watch the video:

Kultnord- a Portal Presenting New Cultural Experiences on the Internet
An interactive cultural calendar, where you can read news and get background information is in the process of being. Behind the www.kulturnordjylland.dk portal are Nordjyllands Mediecenter, Grafisk Værksted Hjørring, the Aalborg Theatre and the Aalborg Zoo – but other cultural facilities are welcome to use the portal…

Break the Isolation
To many mentally afflicted people isolation and loneliness is a gloomy element in everyday life. But with the Break the Isolation project mentally challenged citizens will be enabled to take part in distance education and chatting with fellow patients – and maybe use this to get new friends and lead a more full life…

Remote Monitoring of Cardiac Patients
Now cardiac patients can walk about in their own home, go shopping, see friends and all – while their heartbeat is monitored from the hospital. This happens via a measuring instrument and a mobile phone. To about half of all cardiac patients this project can be a contribution to give them a normal – and safe – everyday life…

SIM-Tools
The 8th graders of the Vester Mariendal School of Aalborg are going on a field trip to Prague. On the Internet. Using a new virtual learning game the teacher can assign different roles to pupils with each their specific task – for example finding the cheapest fare to Prague. Intelligent Production Using Dynamic Simulation
