A North Denmark Lighthouse Project
In collaboration with a number of partners in North Denmark, AM Production Multimedia has been granted funds from The Digital North Denmark to establish a North Denmark IT-company with qualifications within electronic commerce between businesses. The company will develop a commercial and multimedia integrated software product and has set the goal of at least one industrial enterprise deploying the software product during the project phase.
A focus on E-Business Here and Now
The spreading of the Internet is soaring turbulently. Today practically every enterprise is connected via the Internet. This will open new possibilities of communication and interaction between enterprises and customers. The trade between supplier and customer via the Internet – normally referred to as e-business or e-commerce – is one of the types of collaboration that draws great attention. Where systems up till now are based on the shops' sales to customers, the focus is now in particular on enterprises selling to other enterprises.
A tool for Sound Business Practice
With this project an e-business system is created to make use of the knowledge already acquired by the selling party of the needs and requirements of the customer for various products. Using this system the customer should receive a service and user-friendliness that stands up to the positive experience at the supplier's desk. The purpose includes achieving benefits in terms of time and costs and the possibility of ordering goods around the clock.
The system should include the latest state-of-the-art user interfaces integrating text, audio, pictures and video. It is a crucial to optimise and understand all the processes and to be able to detain the costume.
Born for Enterprise Integration
The goal of the project is to develop a system that can be readily attached to existing standard systems. Consequently the system can be considered a kind of ”glue” tying together and integrating already existing systems. This way we envision an open standard system, which can operate with both new and existing systems for inventory control and finance.
